DESCRIPTION:
The Park Project is a group of three talented, versatile, experienced singers/musicians who perform powerful & soulful music from the 60s & 70s.Born out of many warm summer afternoon jams in Washington Square Park NYC, The Park Project skillfully blend smooth vocal harmonies, powerful lead vocals, acoustic guitar stylings, exciting performance and dynamic percussion certain to entertain & please every crowd. Dan Rivera: background vocals, recorder, percussion. A seasoned vocalist of Doo-Wop, Folk and Rock music, Dan has been featured as a backing vocalist since the age of 13, performing on 7 cds by various artists. He is an engineer and producer and has performed at numerous NY venues. Allan Chapman: guitars, lead & background vocals, djembe, percussion. With three full-length cds written, arranged, recorded, performed and produced on his own, Allan has performed at such top NYC venues as CBGB's, The Bitter End and The Village Gate with his own Rock and Soul bands and as a solo artist. Skip Mitchell: lead & background vocals. A veteran of Doo-Wop, Soul and Blues music, Skip sang with The All City Choir (NYC) and performed at such prestigious venues as the Apollo Theater and The Village Gate.
