I hired John Ellis to play at an engagement party on June 23, 2007. He and his assistant were very professional in the way that they handled the job. The sound system was first rate. The artist and his sound man were careful to abide by my request to keep the sound levels to a point that would not disturb the neighbors, since we were in a rooftop restaurant. The songs were terrific. My guests and the guests of honor were very happy with the range of songs. John Ellis seemed to have some tunes for each of the four generations present. I would highly recommend them to friends and I would hire them again.

We wanted some live entertainment for a small party of about 20 people. John did a good job at finding out what kind of music we wanted and playing song requests -- he even learned a couple of songs to accommodate our requests. Nice guy! He also welcomed the participation of our budding musicians and wannabe singers. John probably didn't need the sound system and assistant for our small party, but no harm done. We really appreciated that John went the extra mile to prepare and provide us with the laid back and fun-filled evening I was looking for.
