Everyone had a blast with The Disco Kings. My ownly regret is that we didn't have a bigger dance floor. The dance floor was packed, thumpin and groovin from the first moment The Kings hit the stage till the last. The Kings took us to Funky Town right away were we stayed in the groove until Our Last Chance for Love. We evan got our Car Washed in the Disco Inferno with not just a little love but A Whole Lotta Love. Would we have The Disco Kings back at our next convention? Absolutely!!! I wanna thank Leon and the Disco Kings for making our 56th Annual Southern California Convention a complete success.

The Disco Kings totally MADE the event!!
The owners of our company throw an annual Holiday Party for their employees. We’re always looking for new ideas and themes to keep it fun from year to year for our group of about 125 people. In the past, we’ve done “Casino Nights”, Live Comedy/Magic Shows, and Western Cookouts. This year, we decided on a 70’s theme. We knew that finding the right band would be imperative, if this party was going to be as successful as those in past years.
We turned to the internet and found Gigmaster. We registered and were soon matched with several different bands that might fit our criteria. (Bands specializing in all 70’s music – dressed in costume – fun!)
After reviewing their bids, websites and samples of their music, we decided to hire The Disco Kings. I contacted Leapin’ Leon Thunder (the lead singer) to finalize the details. He was extremely thorough, professional, and truly seemed dedicated to putting on a memorable show for our employees!
The party was this past Saturday – and it went off without a hitch! From the lighting, and special effects, to the dancing and Far-out costumes - the Disco Kings were TOP-NOTCH!! They transformed our reception hall into a happnin’ 70’s disco club. They performed all of our favorite hits of the decade and looked and sounded terrific!
Not only are the Disco Kings talented musicians, but they have a knack for getting people out onto the floor. As you can imagine, being a corporate event, people seemed a little “shy” during the first set; not wanting to “let loose” in front of their bosses and co-workers. But, to our surprise, with every song, more and more people started moving out to the dance floor. By the end of the night the crowd had made a “Soul Train” line on the floor - they were taking turns, dancing down the middle, showing off their best moves.
I admit, that we were a little bit nervous hiring a band from out of town - one that we had never actually seen, in person. But we had seen the video clips on their website, and all of my dealings with Leon, via telephone, were very positive. We felt confident that they would do a good job for us and they definitely delivered!

Fantastic 70's Disco Tribute! These guys had our party on their feet dancing from the first note they played to the end of the last song. We begged and had them do 3 encores!!! And Leon, you had everyone cracking up with your jokes. You are so funny and such a ham. You guys gained a whole bunch of female fans last night, too! We love you guys and will definitely book you, again. All my friends are inquiring, now. Thanks for a wonderful evening! Thank you for working with us and being so professional in every aspect.
