Prodigal Sun is a crowd pleasing cover and original band. We keep the venue hopping all night with a mix of jams, grooves, and high energy that keeps the house in party mode. We are a 3 piece band who pride ourselves on high quality sound and performances that contain a theatrical and artistic quality. We own top notch instrumentation and gear. All performances include lighting and professional PA equipment. Professional light show and DJ services are available, as well as a keyboardist and/or horn sections for select venues.

(Ref) Jeffrey Winter on Lead Guitar and Vocals is a cross between Peter Green, Duane Allman, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and David Gilmour. His passion for the music is evident in his performances and his attention to each note seldom goes unnoticed.

A classically trained pianist and lover of the arts, Jeff is committed to the overall experience. He firmly believes the music should be transcendent and every aspect of the performance should be designed to illicit an emotional response from the artist and the audience.

Jeff has studied under legendary Detroit rocker Robert Gillespie who as a teacher has been floored by Jeff's natural talent and desire to grasp his instrument. After bouncing around in several projects since high school: Affliction, Solstice, Slip EZ, Muddy Pawz, and American Standard; he has found his place in Prodigal Sun.

Prodigal Sun's strong rhythm section is anchored by Sean Caldwell on Bass Guitar and Lead Vocals.

An electric bass virtuoso reminiscent of John Entwistle and Jack Bruce, Sean has pleased audiences of many styles of music since the early 90's. His amazing stage presence shines through as his fingers deftly form tight "in the pocket" grooves and breathtaking solos. Upon seeing Sean playing in a club, fellow bass player Stu Cook(Credence Clearwater Revival) called Sean a "gifted bassist and great performer".

As a vocalist Sean remains true to the boisterous Baptist church services of his youth in Arkansas. His soulful voice rings true whether he's belting out the blues or just plain rockin' out.

Sean cut his teeth performing across the Midwest and Canada as founding member of the award winning rock group Black Fuzz. Black Fuzz audiences were blown away by the group's technical prowess and raw energy. Later Sean toured across the U.S. with such groups as Soul Merchant, Afrodesia and Rooster while working as a session bassist and producer in Nashville, Memphis and Detroit.

In various projects Sean has opened for such acts as Kid Rock, Nickleback, Wilco, Sevendust, Third Eye Blind, Verve Pipe, Better then Ezra, Dick Dale, Tantric and many others as well as local and national TV performances.

Rob, our rock star drummer is a powerhouse. He has been drumming most of his life and has played in the studio and multiple projects for many years. Influenced primarily by the power of Alex Van Halen, Neal Peart, and John Bonham; his rock steady style rounds out this all-star line up. The music and performing is in his blood. He is a truly gifted player and simply loves to perform and entertain.

This band is ideal for Blues and Classic Rock venues and for anyone who desires a a solid rock line-up.

• We were extremely happy with Prodigal Sun's performance. Because we needed to book a band in a very short period of time, we previewed a few of their songs, thought they sounded good so we booked them. We had no idea they would be so awesome.
