  • Thank you so much OpenRoad for everything! You were absolutely great! You kept the party going and was so easy to work with and accommodating. My wedding planning was so chaotic, and you were the only vendor I had no doubts you'd be able to pull through and you did. Ed, your schedule was timed to the second and I loved the organization! Also wanted to thank you for learning over five songs just for us! We really appreciate that! We got nothing but compliments regarding your performance. I cannot thank you enough for the professionalism and talent that OpenRoad performed for our wedding, you truly made it memorable. -- Marissa W, Alameda, CA, 7/30/2011
  • OpenRoad was absolutely fantastic! They kept the crowd entertained and up and dancing all night long. They were completely accommodating with all our requests and were totally professional with our special opening introduction. I've received nothing but compliments on their performance and they "made the party". Our thanks go out once again to OpenRoad for being the consummate professionals that ensured our reception was the complete success that it was. Thanks OpenRoad! • OpenRoad was great! We all really enjoyed their performance. They played all the songs we wanted, and they were very fun. Highly recommended! -- Pat J, Pleasant Hill, CA, 9/11/2010
  • OpenRoad and Ed Vargas are absolutely amazing. The band was fantastic, so fun to dance to and they learned new songs for my wedding. I was incredibly impressed and so were all of my guests. I'm so thankful they performed at my wedding. I couldn't have found a better band. Ed was continually professional on our dealings/coordination - and was very eager to please and make sure everything went smooth. Thank you, OpenRoad. If any of you reading this want further info - feel free to email me at lisasun45@hotmail.com -- Lisa B, San Francisco, CA, 3/7/2009
  • Open Road was great! They played all the songs I requested and sounded wonderful. I recommend them very, very highly. -- Linda F, Los Altos Hills, CA, 11/14/2009
  • Open Road is an excellent dance band and very good to work with - they are very professional and helpful during the planning process (Ed is incredibly organized and detail-oriented) and they had everybody up and dancing throughout the evening. All of the guests had a great time and really enjoyed Open Road - they were a big hit! -- Debra O, Santa Rosa, CA, 6/5/2010
  • We have used 'Open Road' during our Crab Feeds for many years and have found them to be an excellent band! They play great mix of dancing music and have been very accommodating to our needs. They even helped sell tickets! I would highly recommend them for any venue! -- Ed F, Livermore, CA, 1/9/2010
  • Originally, we were unsure about having a band vs. having a D.J. because there were certain songs we really wanted that weren't on the song list of the band. After expressing my concerns to Ed Vargas, the band leader/contact, Ed agreed that the band would learn over 10 new songs, just for our wedding! (Most other bands we contacted were willing to learn two at the most.) The band ended up being great and we're really glad we went with live music over a D.J. All of our friends and family raved about the band, saying their high energy kept the dance floor full throughout the night. As a result, the night flew by and everyone was disappointed when it was over. -- Kristen H, Pleasanton, CA, 7/4/2008
  • We have booked with OpenRoad to play at our previous Crab Feeds which were held at the Church Hall accommodating 350 attendees. Our organization and attendees truly enjoy the performance that OpenRoad provides and this year was no exception. Though this year we changed venues to the Robert Livermore Community Center which provided a more favorable stage layout for the band as well as a better dance floor area. We received numerous comments on the success of our event and the band, the music they played were frequently mentioned as outstanding, great, and truly enjoyable. Again Thanks for playing at our event again this year -- Steven W, Livermore, CA, 1/17/2009
