Feedback
- OpenRoad and Ed Vargas are absolutely amazing. The band was fantastic, so fun to dance to and they learned new songs for my wedding. I was incredibly impressed and so were all of my guests. I'm so thankful they performed at my wedding. I couldn't have found a better band. Ed was continually professional on our dealings/coordination - and was very eager to please and make sure everything went smooth.
Thank you, OpenRoad.

- Originally, we were unsure about having a band vs. having a D.J. because there were certain songs we really wanted that weren't on the song list of the band. After expressing my concerns to Ed Vargas, the band leader/contact, Ed agreed that the band would learn over 10 new songs, just for our wedding! (Most other bands we contacted were willing to learn two at the most.)
The band ended up being great and we're really glad we went with live music over a D.J. All of our friends and family raved about the band, saying their high energy kept the dance floor full throughout the night. As a result, the night flew by and everyone was disappointed when it was over. -- Kristen H, Pleasanton, CA, 7/4/2008
- We have booked with OpenRoad to play at our previous Crab Feeds which were held at the Church Hall accommodating 350 attendees. Our organization and attendees truly enjoy the performance that OpenRoad provides and this year was no exception. Though this year we changed venues to the Robert Livermore Community Center which provided a more favorable stage layout for the band as well as a better dance floor area. We received numerous comments on the success of our event and the band, the music they played were frequently mentioned as outstanding, great, and truly enjoyable.
Again Thanks for playing at our event again this year -- Steven W, Livermore, CA, 1/17/2009
- I would like to thank the “OpenRoad” band for doing such a great job at our annual crab feed at St. Michael’s Church in Livermore. You have played for us for three years now and you just get better. Your renditions of the old classics were excellent, better than most I have heard. Throughout the night while you were playing I heard from numerous people about how well you were and where did I find you etc… It was truly a pleasure having you join us for dinner and dancing to the music.
Thank you and we hope to see you again next year,
Michael Valent

- OpenRoad was hired based on their experience playing for Jack London Square 4th of July Festivals since 2004. They play a wide range of music styles to entertain different age groups, e.g., from Classic Rock, Motown/R&B, to hits from contemporary artists.
We wanted to get our visitors involved and excited for this event. OpenRoad collaborated to include two dance contests with their performance. We got some great photos of the participants and winners!
OpenRoad will be asked to perform at future events at Jack London Square.
