DESCRIPTION:
Marquis66... was founded in August 2002 when two members of the original Marquis decided to re-form the band. New members were added that shared the vision of playing the music of the 50's, 60's and 70's that we grew up with. The band recreates the sights and sounds of the era with vintage instruments (Gretsch, Hofner and Rickenbacker) and amplifiers (Vox, Fender and Ampeg). Add authentic clothes, a light show and you have a night to 'relive the memories'.The band can provide entertainment for small venues and everything up to an outdoor festival. A complete sound system and light show provide a concert level experience. The songlist is varied and can be tailored for your event. If you have a specific song request just let them know. If you are looking for a Tribute Band that can reproduce the sound of the 1960's, there is no better choice. Everything from the Beatles to Jefferson Airplane is featured in the 60's format.. Doug Toftner handles lead guitar and male vocals. He has over 20 years experience as a professional performer. His vocals are in the style of the original artist. Michael Kinnett was one of the founding members of the Marquis. He has kept his passion for performing over the years having worked with local bands in Florida and other cities. Steve Jones is the other founding member still with the band. He enjoys working with Michael to provide a solid back line sound for the group. Diane Jones has long been active in community theater and musical programs in church. She now applies both her keyboard skills and her talent for vocal harmony to the band's sound. Stephanie Knepp is our lead vocalist. She has most recently been with the Coverdolls. She has been performing professionally since the age of 18. She has performed all over Ohio and spent several years in England singing in bands. Michael Heimlich plays drums. He also does backing vocals. Michael has played professionally for over 20 years. He is a big Beatles fan and has a great sense of humor. Instruments: Gretsch Tennesse Rose, Rickenbacker 360/12, Les Paul, Guild Starfire III, Hofner Beatle Bass, Rickenbacker 4003 bass, Kurzweil SP76, 22 peice drum kit. Amplifiers: Vox Super Beatle (1968), Marshall 2 X 12 Modeling Amp, Ampeg SVT Classic Bass w Mesa Boogie 4X10/1X15 cabinet. CLIENT FEEDBACK:
Marquis66 is absolutely the greatest. I have had the same party 28 years in a row but, this year with Marquis66 it was the best. They got everyone moving and dancing. They knew just what to play and when to play it. I was expecting a Garage Band and I got a concert!Friends have been calling me for days to tell me what a good time they had and want more info on the band. They will be back for my next party. This is a great group of professionals that really know how to entertain.

The Marquis66 band once again blew me away with there talent! Everyone was amazed that they were a local band I found from Columbus. They were the talk of the night with three nationals playing after them, I realized I had made only one mistake in organizing my show....that Marquis66 should have closed out my night. The nationals were even struck by there professionalism and overall talent. Marquis66 see you in the NEAR FUTURE!! THANKS FOR A GREAT SHOW!!
