LISA ~ VOCALS Lisa Mc Cormick, a professional singer/songwriter, has been in love with the music business since her teens. Taking her bluesy/rock vocal style from San Francisco, she moved to Los Angeles and got her first record deal at nineteen with Howie Klein of Warner Bros. Records who heard a single she put out on her own and started playing it on radio stations in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Lisa joined the band “The Boxboys” which was managed by Perrigrine-Watts-Russell then opened and toured with various headlining acts -among them “Madness”, “Motley Crue”, “Tom Petty”, “Berlin” and “The Eurythmics”. “The Boxboys” were then signed with Elton John's label, Rocket Records. During this time she worked as a session vocalist at Chick Corea's studio, and The Record Plant. After much success with “The Boxboys”, Lisa went on to write and perform with “Mister Mister” and Jay Davis with Rod Stewart's band. Her and her partner, keyboardist Melinda Raymond, decided to form an all girl band called “The Sheilas” and asked drummer Dawn Richardson of “Four Non Blondes” and Paula Brown of “The Go-Go's to join along with Susan Ball, guitarist of “Puss n' Boots. Immediate success followed with Tom Hulett of Hulett Management co. who was handling “The Beach Boys” and “Warrant”. A publishing deal also followed and the girls did a demo for Warner Bros. “The Sheilas” also had several songs placed in various feature films and television pilots. Melinda and Lisa then branched off and formed “Love In Exile” and played all the popular venues in Los Angeles. “Voodoo Circus” was her next band project and they released a music video along with playing venues such as House of Blues and The Key Club. Lisa then did a 25 city tour of Japan as a background vocalist with artist Eikichi Yazawa who has released nineteen albums. The tour included an HBO live concert at Budokan.
