Wathenclan is a super high energy power trio. We are capable of playing an entire night of classic rock covers, an entire night of original music or a mixture of both. Wathenclan can supply it's own sound system and or lighting if needed.We have a sample of videos/music available on request. Roy Wathen, the lead guitarist and lead vocalist of the band, has been writing songs since 1970! Wathenclan has well over sixty original songs to date, and is currently recording their new release: "Sons Of Thunder", scheduled to come out in the summer of 2012! The four songs here on this website, are all from their new CD "Sons Of Thunder". As Wathenclan records live in their studio, all the music you hear, will always be the same in a live setting. Roy Wathen started this band in 2002 recruiting musicians from the strangest of places, looking for just the right combination for a very unique style of music. after many many different musicians, and many different combinations, "Wathenclan" was formed! Just a three piece, was a total shock! The sound was just too muddy, with more than just the three. After three years, Bob Cooper, on bass, and Bob Goldenberg, on drums, joined, and the unique sound was finally there. In 2005 "Wathenclan" became a band. After quite alot of public shows, Wathenclan decided to broaden their genere, to include a complete evening of Classic rock cover songs, in order to be able to offer something for everyone. Wathenclan plays a very broad based range of Classic cover songs from Elvis Presley, to Led Zeppelin! We have so much fun at our shows, and we know you will too. If the band is having fun, you can guarantee the crowd will be having the time of their lives!!
