The Ed Mays Groove Kitchen is a 5 piece dance/show band backing our world class female vocalist- Tena DuBerry. We play classic R&B just like you like it but we also play just about everything else. Whatever it is that you like, we're going to make you dance and you and all your friends are going to have a blast.

Whether you came up with the great Motown, R&B, Funk and Disco bands such as Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Pointer Sisters, Rufus, Roberta Flack, Chic and so many others, or you are in the younger generation, we have found that for some reason, just about everybody the world over knows and loves this music. It's ubiquitous in American culture.

However, as life long professional musician/entertainers, our backgrounds are very broad so our song list includes lots of classic rock, Latin, jazz, current and many other genres as well. The band can also be tailored to your needs. We have played countless engagements as a jazz or Latin trio on up to 4, 5 and 6 piece bands with various combinations of singers and horn players. This is one of the benefits of playing for 10 years with the same group of people in all different kinds of situations.

I created the band for the private event market which includes, parties, weddings, concerts and festivals, but we go over great in clubs as well. We play all size events and so you can even add a Tower of Power style horn section if you like.
