Nominated for BEST SONG at the Nashville Song writers Symposium and SONG OF THE YEAR in the 45 Grammy Awards in 2003, Fred (In earlier years), was leader of the Rhythm & Blues group ("Freddie and the Freeloaders")
And has played in clubs and stadiums throughout the US and Canada.For the last 8 years Fred and John have been playing as the Duo "PruesBlues"
They have been writing, arranging, playing and recording their own music and their style is what they
would like to call "New England Country/Blues". They currently have 17 albums on DeafEar Records (Special Someone, Merlot, 50/50, Funkit, Duct Tape, Pain, Help the Poor , We're The U.S.A, , Here We Go , Classic Oldies 1 through classic Oldies 6, .and a Gospel Album He shows us the way. ), all except the Classic Oldies series are original songs. They also have 4 songs on the "United We Stand Album" and 4 songs on the Freedom Album on JIPrecords out of Nashville and all the CD's are available on their web site. Best Song Nominated for the 45 Grammy Awards in 2003
The song "They're all Angels now" , one of the four on the "United We Stand Album" was nominated for "Song of the year" in the General Field Catagory 3, song # 469 (In alphabetical order).
They also won the BEST SONG award at the Nashville Song Writers Symposium in 2003 (Why I Sing The Blues). This contest consisted of over 150 Song Writers. If you are looking for GREAT Live music entertainment that won't put you in the Poor House, please request our CD consisting of song samples from our CD's.
Note that you will be hiring 2 People (Fred and John). They Sound like a 5-6 Piece Band.
How they do it - In Their recording studio "DeafEar Records", They have taken all their songs and stripped out the singing , rhythm and lead guitar and put what is left on a laptop. Then they use Mr. Laptop to play the Bass and Drums plus sub leads and such and along with their singing and playing making up the sound of a 6 piece band. Note: If you have some special song/s you would like us to perform please request them ahead of time and we will include them in our sets. Again, don't forget to ask for our demo CD if you are interested.
