DESCRIPTION:
THE PICTURES BAND has traveled the world performing for Presidents and many other famous names.We have three band sizes depending on the musical and budgetary requirements of your special event. Until we find a way to get our audio on this site, please check out our audio at our band's web site.
Our first is the standard five piece band comprising of
1) Our remarkable lead singer Chris, who has the vocal range, which other singers can only dream of! He sang nearly ALL the male and female parts on our band demo! You will honestly believe that Aretha Franklin is in the room when he belts out “Respect”. Truly astounding……. To add to his list of accomplishments he also plays keyboard and rhythm guitar.
2) A true showman... (Drum roll!)……is Byron on the Drums!! He has the dexterity to move from a soft shoe shuffle to heart pounding rock in the blink of an eye. You will never see a better drum stick twirler in your life so get out your camera and take a pic!!
3) The lead guitarist is Bret. A mountain of a man that plays like an angel!! A true virtuoso of world class standard! He also plays mean keyboard and sings vocal backup…… Multi talented!!
4) Our rhythm guitarist and lead/ backing vocalist is Robin. He has been with The Pictures alongside Byron, from its humble beginnings in mom’s front room over 23yrs ago!! If you have a hankering for some good oldies like “Jessie’s girl” then Robin will take over from Chris and rock ya socks off!
5) Last but not least is another long standing band member ….Chuck! He is our bass player and backing vocalist who takes over the vocals on all the Elvis, Beatles, and Jerry Lee Lewis numbers! Despite the fact that he has been with the band for 23yrs, he will still do the “rock ‘n’ roll rock God” posture if asked nicely!!Our eight piece band adds our horn section (trumpet and tenor sax) and female singer Valerie. Valerie is the best jazz singer the band has ever had the pleasure to work with so far. She can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when she sings 'If I Aint Got You'- Alicia Keyes.
If you would like your special event to have duet numbers like “You’re the one that I want”, then consider the eight piece band, because as talented as Chris is, he needs a little assistance on such numbers!!!
The ten piece band adds a bari sax and trombone for an incredible live horn section that is really unbeatable.
