*Do we need to have a piano?
If a piano is not available, Kevin can provide a professional, authentic sounding, portable, digital piano for your event.
*How long can he perform?
Typically, he performs from one to three hours but he is able to perform up to 4 hours.
*How many breaks does he take and how long are they?
For an event lasting up to one and 1/2 hours, Kevin doesn't take any breaks. If he is to perform longer, he typically plays 45-50 minutes per hour.
*How does he dress?
He always wears a suit and/or tie and looks professional and polished. If you prefer him to wear a tuxedo, or formal attire, or dress more casually, he's happy to do that as well.
*Will he play for our ceremony and cocktail hour?
Kevin would be happy to play for your wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and he can offer you an attractively priced package if you choose to book both the ceremony and cocktail hour with him. **certain restrictions apply**
Can Kevin attend my wedding rehearsal as well?
Kevin would be happy to attend the wedding rehearsal. He will change a fee to cover his time and travel. It is important to inform him at the time of the original booking, so he can reserve the date of the rehearsal.
*How much time does he need for set-up?
It usually takes Kevin under 45 minutes to set up. He will be set up and ready to play at least 15 minutes before your first guest arrives. He will work seamlessly with all the other professionals who are working for you. You will never have to worry about conflicts. You are not charged for set-up time.
*Does he charge for set-up time?
No. Never.
*Do we need to provide any equipment?
No, Kevin will bring all the equipment he needs, but a standard 3-prong electrical outlet within a reasonable distance of where he will be playing is required.
*How loud is he?
Kevin Gault is not loud. Whether you choose to hire Kevin for his piano bar act or for soft ambient music, he will work with you to make certain his volume level is perfect for your event. Since many events are a time for guests to socialize and mingle, he never plays so loudly that conversation becomes difficult. If you want him to play louder or more quietly, just ask him and he'll gladly accommodate your needs.
How much does Kevin Gault charge?
Kevin's rates are very resonable. He can offer you the most attractive rate if your venue has a piano on site. Please be certain to mention if a piano is available when you place your Gigmasters' gig request.
*Will he travel?
He loves to travel and play new places. However, if he has to drive more than 50 miles from Columbus, Ohio, there will be a small travel fee.
*Is Kevin available for "in-person" auditions/consultations?
Kevin does not normally meet with clients "in-person" before events.
He is, however, available by telephone and email for consultations and for arranging special details. Phone calls and emails are usually answered within 24hrs. If clients prefer to meet, it can be arranged for a fee to cover his time and travel.
