Pianist Ron Kobayashi and Saxophonist Ken Kawamura play your favorite Swing Classics and Selections from the Great American Song Book! This duo is perfect for weddings, parties, receptions, dinners, dances, or any situation where you want classic swing-era music. This is an instrumental duo, but it can be easily expanded to a trio with a singer or bass player or a full band to meet your event's needs. ***We also perform a large selection of Christmas Holiday Music! More on the Duo: Long established OC based pianist and leader Ron Kobayashi has performed with Mel Torme, Eric Marienthal, Phil Upchurch, Teddy Edwards, Kenny Burrell, Margaret Whiting, and Herb Jeffries. He has been featured on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather. Saxophone player Ken Kawamura has been performing various jazz combos groups and jazz orchestras since the early 90's. He has performed in Los Angeles, NYC, and up and down the West Coast with Bobby Bradford, Paul Carman, Joey Seller, Gary Fukushima, and Joel Hamilton. Ron and/or Ken have performed at many venues in the Southern California Area: Orange County Center for the Performing Arts, The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Steamers Jazz Cafe, Balboa Pavilion, The Reef, Pelican Hill Resort, Bayside Restaurant, Bistango Restaurant, and more. *** In the event that the location of the performance does not have a piano, a cartage fee of $75 will be added. This fee includes the providing for your event of an exceptional piano-sounding keyboard, a small sound system, and a microphone. The sound system and microphone will be made available during the event to the client for announcements and speeches. Also, included in this fee is Master of Ceremony services during the time the group is hired.
