Description

The New York Connection, a six-piece show band has been performing in the metropolitan area for over 19 years, playing songs from the big band era of the forties to the current hits. This top show band has also appeared on Long Island, Westchester, and Connecticut performing at weddings, in clubs, at outdoor feasts and for charitable events.

The band consists of two lead vocalists - Erica Kane and Bob Damato. They are backed by four talented musicians – Michael Banek on bass guitar; John Zych on keyboards and vocals, Frank Mackie on guitar and vocals and Skip Myers on drums.

The New York Connection is just as comfortable playing in a dance club as they are playing at the most exquisite wedding. They tailor the show to a customer's needs, and it shows in the productions. They are known for moving an audience with a rendition of a "soft ballad" and then getting everyone going by playing "disco" and good old "rock and roll." Audiences have stated that the band keeps everyone happy because of the wide variety of music that they play.

The members of the band are dedicated musicians and are always willing to give of themselves at all performances. They attempt to leave everyone in the audience with a sense that they know them personally and this is what makes the band unique.

Feedback

  • Comments from guests included "they were the best wedding band I have ever heard" Bob Damato is a true professional and very talented! I would hire them again and certainly recommend them! -- Barbara S, Huntington, NY, 5/7/2006
  • Bob Damato was very self-sufficient and the band itself was lovely to deal with and did an overall decent job with the theme of our party. -- Jessica B, Westbury, NY, 12/30/2005
