DESCRIPTION:
I have a strong tenor voice and I play: banjo, mandolin, guitar, bagpipes (both highland and small pipes), pennywhistle, harmonica and ukulele. I play with an Irish band (Ceili Country), a Dixieland band, a Country band/Bluegrass band, and an Italian accordian/mandolin duo. "Sheer Stage Magic"- The Nation, "Deftly Offhanded Bravura"- The New York Times. Tap dancing, Irish step dancing, clog dancing, rope spinning, hat tricks, juggling, acting, and storytelling are some of my other skills. A few of the places I have performed include: Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Broadway, and PBS TV's Shining Time Station. In addition to the band work, I have several music/storytelling/tap dance programs that I perform at festivals, theatres, schools, and family concerts. My Cabaret Show is called The Spirit of Vaudeville.It celebrates the musical vaudevillians of the 1920's. I also tour with a children's theatre company called Two Silly Fathers Productions and a storytelling/music duo called The Mythmakers. These family shows are booked through Encore Performing Arts.

Richard was very professional and accommodating. He was hired to play for my parents, that was their Christmas gift from my sister, husband and myself. Because we were in a condo complex all the neighbors came out to see what was going on and when they saw Richard playing the bagpipes they all had on big smiles. After a little while we went into my sisters' place and he continued playing the bagpipes and he also played the banjo and sang Christmas caroles. Before he left, he graciously took pictures with my parents.
My family and I both feel that having Richard play for us was a wonderful memorable time. I am definitely keeping Richard Stillman2
in mind for future occasions.
