Dale Jones, The One-Handed Juggler, So Good.....He's Ambidextrous!
The first one- handed juggler that history records, Jones actually reinvented juggling to compensate for his bad right-hand (which he injured severely at age 8).
In a process that took him 30 years to fully develop, Jones' Bounce-Multiplex Juggling System increased the vital waiting time between catches and throws that is inherent to all juggling. The system allowed Jones to even the playing field with regular two-handed jugglers and do what had been thought impossible before.
Featured in both "People Magazine" and in a front page article in "USA Today," Jones has been the lead juggler in the Ringling Bros. television special: "Clown College." What's more, the International Juggling Association has long touted Jones as one of the best Jugglers in the world despite his disability!
Jones regularly talks to audiences about what can be achieved with sheer determination and perseverance.
Because he knows that each one of us is capable of astouuding achievement -of doing something that no one has ever done before!
In fact, Jones proves it, by showing off his own new juggling system in every hilarious, uplifting program.
Jones performs world-class original comedy along with his speaking. In fact his program is so entertaining that, after guest starring on the "STATLER BROS. SHOW," (TNN), the producer said, "Dale Jones completely blew us away." On concert dates, Jones has shared the stage with Ray Stevens (Anderson Music Hall, Hiawassee, GA); KC & The Sunshine Band (Chip In's Island Resort & Casino, Harris, MI); and Marie Osmond (Rickman Auditorium, Arnold, MO), to name a few. Jones has even headlined a one-man show three different times in Branson, MO (Owen's Theater). He is also one of very few jugglers to ever have star status in a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey television special ("CLOWN COLLEGE," CBS).
Indeed, Jones has been featured on many other national TV shows as well. ("ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT;" "CBS EVENING NEWS;" and "AMERICA'S FUNNIEST PEOPLE" among others.)
Jones "travels in that rare air. He's certainly one of a kind," according to "THE ASSOCIATED PRESS" article on him. "He fills the act with wit," said "CHICAGO SUN-TIMES" Comedy Reporter, Ernest Tucker.
To be sure, his act is a highly original, skill packed, belly-laughter, with a huge, rousing finish! Which allows Jones to state with confidence that "my goal is always to be the most well received entertainer anywhere I perform."
Programs to choose from:
Jones can easily adapt the following programs (along with information you provide him with)to meet your speaking needs.
"MOTIVATION IN MOTION"
How ordinary people
are capable of doing things that nobody
has ever done before. Jones
drives his point home by showing
how he re-invented juggling to make it
easier for someone with only one good hand.
Indeed, by developing a system
that uses a knee and/or foot, in
cooperation with his able left hand,
Jones can keep as many as five
balls in the air for some time.
He tailors his upbeat message to meet
your company or organization's needs.
And keeps everyone laughing so
hard they are thoroughly entertained as well.
"HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH"
BlueCHOICE asked Jones to write
a program for their 1995 Anti-Drug/Anti-
Alcohol Scholarship Awards Dinner. The
result was a speech called "Hold Your Head Up High."
It explains how to get high on your own achievements
instead of alcohol and other drugs.
The program was a "monster hit"
and Jones has been performing it in schools ever since.
DISABLED / ABLED
Jones also does a program on disability awareness.
He has twice performed it for the U.S. Army,
drawing standing ovations each time.
An excellent program for schools
colleges and corporations, (see listings below)
Jones explains how disabled people
must often perform at a higher level than
anyone else (applying for the same position)
in order to even be considered for the job.
He tells of the many people throughout history
who have overcome adversity to achieve success.
But Jones knows the best
way to get any message across is
to keep the audience entertained,
by performing a truly hilarious show.
