Description

Maritess took her first magic lessons in Chicago, where she was born. She continued her magic education for 7 years in Las Vegas. Her magical life includes owning a fortune-telling business in Nevada, status as a master phone psychic for New York celebrities and starred in her own illusion show in Japan. She is most proud of competing in the General Magic category at The Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques in Lisbon, 2000, also known as the Olympics of magic, against 150 magicians from around the world. Her mentalism has been featured at the New York International Fringe Festival and at the Ars Nova theater festival in New York. As the world's premiere female mentalist, she has worked for Fortune 500 companies for the past 20 years. She has lived in Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Japan, New York and now lives in Seattle with her family.
Maritess is regularly profiled in the media and asked for her opinion on magic and the occult. Media sources such as Newsday, Lifetime Television, The BBC News, Epoch Times, Bust Magazine and The Village Voice have sought her commentary and recommend her show.
