The members of Sol Azteca consists of various members of different Mariachi groups in Houston. We enjoy playing and performing so much that on our free time when the members are not Busy with their regular jobs, college, mariachi or different endeavors we get together with our friends and keep the tradition of Mariachi music and Mexico alive. To us being a mariachi is not only about the music. It's all about the passion, acting, being a comic, entertaining, improvising and putting on a show. Being a Mariachi is an experience in itself and ultimately becomes a part of who you are. We bring together different styles, rhythms, arrangements, and dances. Our chemistry as friends as well as our long experience playing individually and together brings a different and unique experience of contemporary, folk, and regional songs.
