Mariachi Michoacan de Mario Fernandez was founded and established as a professional group in November of 1986. Mariachi Michoacan has always been composed of talented and ambitious musicians to perform at its best and to bring people the best and authentic Mexican sound at its fullest extent. Throughout the years, this Mariachi has had the privilege to have members with professional music skills and a good ensemble of vocals and instrumentation. .

As the years have passed Mariachi Michoacan has always been passionate about keeping the traditional values and maintaining mariachi music alive. Mariachi Michoacan has always had a strong dedication to professionalism and ready to perform at any music level. This Mariachi has never lost focus on staying up to date with all the old and new music as it evolves. Extensive repertoire and good discipline is one of the many reasons why this Mariachi has remained the best mariachi in Dallas and Ft.Worth for over 20 years..

Throughout the years Mariachi Michoacan has had the privilege to share the stage with many well known recording artist such as Pepe Aguilar, Cristian Castro, Paquita La Del Barrio, Lucha Villa, Jose Jose, Felipe Arriaga, Juan Valentin, Nelson ned, Vicente Fernandez Jr, Tony Melendez(conjunto Primavera) and many more. Mariachi Michoacan has also had the honor to win many Mariachi competitions throughout Texas.

Mariachi Michoacan as always is eager to perform at any event such as weddings, birthday parties, Quinceaneras, corporate events, concerts, church mass and pretty much anything that deals with music. This Mariachi is passionate to continue the high quality and the best interpretation of Mexican music for many years to come.

• The performers were great but that does not take away from the fact that they were nearly an hour late. Communicating with the group was difficult and never timely. After emailing them to request specific songs I received no follow up. Fortunately things worked out but it certainly didn't need to be as stressful as this. I was optimistic about Mariachi Michoacan because we listened to them in person at a restaurant. • Mario and the other 4 musicians were wonderful. They sounded great and had beautiful costumes. Even though they had another engagement after ours, they stayed later than planned, since our buses of guests arrived late. • Horrible.We booked them in January for our wedding in April and had multiple conversations with Mario regarding the start time (which was 8:00pm as stated in the contract & never changed). The last phone conversation I had with them was about 2 weeks before our wedding- Mario called to confirm what he thought was the start time of 8:45-I told him no it's at 8:00, he verbalized his understanding. About a week before wedding, our coordinator finally got a hold of them. She told me they thought the start time was 7:00!She told them "NO"start time is 8:00 and to look at contract.
