Therefore, all trips to perform on other islands have to be on airline, which involves at least 8 hours of transit time (R/T). A duo, or trio, or quartet might fit your budget. Compared to California, live mariachi music in Hawaii is 2 or 3 times more costly, but because it is rare in Hawaii, people appreciate it very much. We use authentic, quality instruments, not just guitar and singing. For neighbor island performances, we require a $50 administrative advance, no exceptions. For performances in Honolulu County, but outside Honolulu City limits, a travel fee will be added to the quote. We work the festive mariachi music. Please note that the mariachi attire requires extreme care for the elegant/costly suits and wide hats, and is not appropriate for performances very close to the seashore, where humidity is high specially in the surf zone. Otherwise, the mariachi tradition is very adaptable, and has a powerful visual and audio impact. We stroll, and are not constrained to microphone stands, so we can locate ourselves at an appropriate distance from where the guests would spontaneously congregate.
