• He came in as our banquet was starting to set up his sound system. We were having interviews with a tv station and him testing his equipment was not professional. He did not have to perform until after 8pm but the banquet started at 7pm with speakers and awards. He should have had his system set up before the banquet started. I had too many people tell me to get my money back. If it had not been for one of the participants from our audience acting silly he, may have been asked to stop. • I need to clarify my marks for Merl, I hired Merl for a 4 year old birthday party and I was very specific about only wanting magic that would entertain 3-4 year olds. Some of the tricks were not appropriate and some were over their heads. I think Merl does a great job for older crowds but I would not recommend him for children under 10 unless he changes his act. -- Debby D, Southport, NC, 3/3/2012
