Benjamin Corey performs a rapid paced, interactive, comedy-magic, and illusion program called "Defying Gravity." The Magician offers both stand-up/stage magic productions and close-up/strolling magic entertainment. Benjamin is the kind of guy who wakes up in the middle of the night thinking about your event. Be it a corporate event, bar/bat mitzvah, or family program at your home, our entire focus is making sure you and your guests have fun.

Benjamin Corey's first show was 17 years ago. The Magician has spent thousands of hours talking to people like you, about events like the one you are holding, to make sure every single moment in the show and every word in the script, fits the exact event you are having.
Benjamin Corey has even been described as nuts, for the level of attention he gives every moment of his show. Developing and perfecting his original creative acts, down to the smallest detail - day-after-day, show-after-show, over the span of decades. He makes the show better and better over thousands of performances so that by the time he gets to your event, every moment you have paid for reflects positively on you.
One day, Benjamin Corey appeared at the Eldorado Casino in Shreveport Louisiana. He was flown in, picked up in a limo, and 1200 screaming audience members were ready to enjoy his Illusion show at one of the largest casino's in the South. The very next day, two hours after landing at the airport, Benjamin Corey performed at a Birthday party for 20 kids.
This makes for a weird existence. But, Benjamin Corey loves what he does. Your event is more important to him than any event from the past.
(Beyond weird would be if you were contacting me to perform a magic show at a funeral. Gigmasters allows us to list the types of events we are available for, but in this case, I'm not sure I'd have the funeral magic show you would be looking for. My ebuliant and bubbly personality at a funeral might clash with the appropriate atmosphere.)

Benjamin Corey's productions are scalable. They can be performed for audiences of five people, or 1200. We have the crew, recources, and staff to assure that whatever program you are looking for, the entire process will be easy for you. We offer shows that fit in a car and large productions that require several vehicles.
All of Benjamin Corey's programs are self-contained. Our main request from you is likely to be an electrical outlet. We take care of the rest so you can focus on planning the other details of your event, and enjoying the event when it takes place.

Benjamin Corey's improvisational comedy has been featured at the Hollywood Holiday Inn with International Star Dom Deluise. Benjamin was very accommodating with a rather excited group of children. He was able to put a wonderful show and wend way above and beyond what we expected in terms of the scope and length of the show. He amazed the children (and many of the parents) with a very nice afternoon filled with wonderment.

Benjamin Corey did a great job for our daughter's birthday party. He really engaged the children and was able to handle the various age ranges of the kids(5-13 years old).
The party was a big success and the children loved the show.
I would also like to see Benjamin's adult show. He has talent and knows how to adapt it to his audience. He was professional and courteous.
I would definitely recommend him and would use him for future parties.

Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy the show because I was too busy to sit down and actually had to leave the area for a time to go take pics with the photographer. However, I heard lots of reaction & laughs from the audience. My husband even considered hiring him for my daughter's b-day next month. This was for my father's 60th b-day and my father really enjoyed the show.
Mr. Corey was also very pleasant and professional.
One minor caveat, out of a crowd of over 60 people, about three people felt like magician were too "kiddy" and complained but that didn't have any thing to do with the performance, I heard lots of laughs from adults & kids.
