DESCRIPTION:
Performing hits throughout all of the Eastern Carolinas, Wake Zone plays it all. We are nine players (two of whom sing) plus additional female vocalists. This enables us to be as versatile as any band gets. Our instrumentation includes keyboard, bass, guitar, drums and a horn section of FIVE! We perform jazz, swing, rock, disco, funk, R&B, beach music and country pop tunes from the 40s up to some of today's hits. Our repertoire includes ethnic music, i.e. Jewish, Italian, Irish, Latin, and Greek for all cultural and religious events as well. We can even provide small jazz combos for "cocktail hour" and classical performances of almost any kind for wedding ceremonies. What makes our sound so unique is that all of our arrangements are professionally custom scored for this band and for all of our private functions we provide concert sound and light reinforcement for your listening and visual pleasure. We are well groomed, and dress formally. Our musical experiences include performing or touring with or arranging for the following artists: Little Richard, Gary Puckett, Billy Joel, Vanilla Fudge, Cream, Ray Charles, Randy Brecker, Mary Wilson, The Temptations, Louis Bellson, Jimmy Heath, Burt Bacharach, Tony Bennett, The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Savannah Symphony, The Savannah Jazz Orchestra, The North Carolina Symphony We are personable, easy to work with and promise to satisfy.
