DESCRIPTION:
The Uptown Rebels perform Roots-conscience Reggae, Rocksteady, Ska, & Dub covers and originals. Staying true to the one-drop beat, the Rebels pride themselves on energetic, tightly woven sets that encourage audience participation. The core band consists of five memebers(bass/drums/rhythmn and lead guitar, and male vocals). We have the ability to add keyboards, horns, and female back-up vocals when necessary. Our repetoire consists of hits and rarely played gems from Bob Marley & the Waliers, Peter Tosh, Toots and the Maytals, Dennis Brown, Jimmy Cliff, just to name a few. The Rebels are professionals on and off the stage and our first interest will be in providing you with top-quality service with a big courteous smile.
