DESCRIPTION:
The Siver Family lives in the Adirondack Mountains of Northern New York. They feature a young female fiddler with superb vocals, in Dorothy Jane Siver. Jim Bevins is their mandolin player, who played with Dan Tyminski, when the two were young up and coming bluegrass stars. Playing together with Green Mountain Bluegrass. Jon Belcher provides wonderful banjo licks and Jennifer and Ron Siver anchor the band on rhythm guitar and upright bass respectively. The Siver Family plays traditional Bluegrass music. The band is influenced by Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, Flatts & Scruggs, traditional fiddle tunes and originals that The Siver Family have written. With the youthful excitement of Dorothy Jane on fiddle and the exceptional sounds of Jim Bevins on mandolin and Jon Belcher on banjo, this band is rapidly leaving its mark on the bluegrass world.
