DESCRIPTION:
The South's Premier LIVE Party Band, and your choice for the finest in classic R&B, Soul, Motown and Carolina Beach for your wedding, party or corporate function. Mature, professional entertainers; not wanna-be rock stars, dedicated to making your event perfect. Grounded in four-part harmony and offering the audience a combination of dance hits and soulful sounds from the '50's to the '80's, with an occasional tune from our own chart topping hits. We now offer DJ services between sets. The music doesn't stop, and IF we are unable to play one of your favorites live, we can have our professional DJ play the latest dance mix, or your favorites. Just another service we offer to make your event a success! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ NEW MEMBER ON BOARD!
THE COPPERTONES are proud to announce the addition of LOUIS "LOUIE D" DIXSON as the newest member of THE COPPERTONES. Louis has been compared to some of the saxaphone greats; Clarence Clemons, David Sanborn and Maceo Parker. He has shared the stage with Doc Holiday of the Dizzy Gilespie Band and the Derrick Trucks Band. His weapons of choice are the soprano, alto and tenor sax. His vocals and his sax are a welcome addition, and we look forward to his joining us in 2009. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ We are a group of professional, talented musicians who love what we do and are enthusiastic about our music. We have multiple lead vocalists (both female and male) and keep the excitement at a fever pitch. THE COPPERTONES have worked with, or opened for, some of the best in the business; The Drifters, Maurice Williams, Tyrone Davis, Coastline, The Tams, and The Fantastic Shakers...just to name a few. Our goal is to provide you with fantastic music at affordable prices. We are a Charleston SC-based band that has been providing listeners with great music, fresh talent, and vibrant performances for over five years. With extensive experience performing for weddings, private and corporate functions all over the Southeast. A typical event might start with softer music in the styles of Frank Sinatra and other light stadards. Then when it's time to get the party started its non stop dance hits, one after another. Motown, 80's, R&B, swing,70's funk, classic rock n' roll and Carolina Beach are just a few of the styles that pack the dance floor. But of course all of that is up to you. We are hired help; hired to entertain your guests. You can find our songs on the CD's BOARDWALK MEMORIES (Old Beezer Records) and I COULD DANCE ALL NIGHT VOL II (Ripete/KHP) available at Wal-Mart, and Target. You can also hear our songs on great radio stations across the Southeast like WIXE in Monroe/Charlotte NC, WLWL Big Waves in Rockingham NC, WEVA in Empire VA, WPCM in Wrightsville Beach NC, WODR in Whiteville NC and the flagship of Carolina Beach Music, 94.9 The Surf, Myrtle Beach SC, to name just a few. We travel with all necessary sound equipment, lighting equipment, and professional crew. We set our volume appropriate to the room and the event. We provide background music between sets. Brides - we will emcee your reception and are more than happy to allow members of your party to use our microphones for toasts to you and your groom. We are also happy to provide "special songs" of your choosing at your request Don't be fooled by Johnny-come-lately's and wanna-be's. In today's economy you want the best value for your entertainment dollar. THE COPPERTONES have the talent, the equipment, the desire and the experience to make your function perfect. We have performed for thousands of people all over the Southeast and have more testimonials than we can display on our website. Contact us and we will be happy to provide them. A bid is just that...a bid. Should your budget not accomodate our pricing, call or email us. Our fees are based on several factors; venue, length of travel, length of show and several other factors. We are more than happy to discuss pricing with you. We want your function to be perfect and we want you to have the best. Ask about seasonal discounts. Hire the band that SOUTH CAROLINA HOMES AND GARDENS magazine calls, "The Lowcountry's favorite Beach Band;" ...hire
