DESCRIPTION:
The Blue Potatoes is a unique and innovative group in the world of children's music, playing folk, rock and world music for kids and their families. Everyone can enjoy our original music and traditional favorites - babies to teens, parents, teachers, caregivers, grandparents, the whole family!Of our five regular members, three are classroom music teachers, three are parents (some of us are both!), and all are working musicians, so we bring a special combination of educational knowledge, parental nurturing, and rock-and-roll star quality to every performance, no matter how big or small. We're more than just another kids' band - we include interactive, hands-on experience with real musical instruments, and participatory songs and games that get everyone on their feet and having fun. The Blue Potatoes is dedicated to exposing children to live music and real musical instruments at every oppotunity, regardless of circumstances. We find creative ways of making our performances affordable to organizations that need our help by partnering with suppotive institutions and sponsors.
