Description

Caribbean Steel drum sensation SOCA JUKEBOX has established themselves as one of the genre's top island party show bands. This standout act features unique instrumentation, colorful arrangements of great musical selections, and a clean, danceable, energetic presentation. This is NOT your typical "wallpaper" steel drum group: SOCA JUKEBOX is a premier interactive Island Percussion Party.

Each member of SOCA JUKEBOX is a multi-instrumentalist with percussion, vocal and string backgrounds. Clay Johnston (Lead Vocal, Double Seconds), Jay Albright (Lead Pan), Ben Leimkuhler (Bass), Mark Elting (Drum Set) and Jason Riley (Guitar) make up this highly sought-after remarkable quintet.

Taking their name from a popular Caribbean music style (soca is slang for Soul Calypso), this group performs a high-energy variety of familiar "tropical rock" hits and traditional island favorites. They give every song a unique latin and reggae twist, the infectious rhythmic elements that endear them to audiences.

SOCA JUKEBOX is the perfect group for an "island party" atmosphere. Please visit our website for more audio/video clips, performance schedule and additional information on the band or feel free to contact us directly. "Jump up, feel the rhythm and say 'YAH MON' to this extraordinary ensemble - SOCA JUKEBOX

Feedback

  • Soca Jukebox was AMAZING! I requested songs to be played at my wedding and if they didn't know them, they learned them. They were so nice and easy to deal with. They were on time and even stayed longer to entertain! All of the guests were talking about how great the band was and said they were the best they've heard. Soca Jukebox put the finishing touches on my wedding and made it even more perfect. Ned and Burgandy Robertson July 12, 2008 -- Burgandy R, Osage Beach, MO, 7/12/2008
  • I was very satisfied with this groups performance. The songs they performed sounded a lot like the original producers. Their steel drums and percussion were awesome. I would recommend this group to anyone. Many of my customers that attend this event annually have asked me to consider bringing them back. If we do this type of party next year they will be highly considered for the job again. Once again, their style and sound of music was perfect for our event. Our age range of quests were 6 years to 90 years old. They all seemed to love the type of music this band played. -- Tom K, Horton, KS, 6/20/2008
  • They were great to work with! They were very professional and communicated often with me right up to the day of their performance. They provided alot of fun and great music for our group. I highly recommend them! -- Dianne A, Kansas City, MO, 4/14/2009
