DESCRIPTION:
We are a group of 7 adult musicians and singers who have played in other bands for many years, but have come together because of our love of the various genres of music which predominantly fall under the umbrella of "R&B". That means Soul, Funk, Rock, and Jazz, all of which have their roots in "the blues"; and of course we play a few Blues tunes, as well as occasionally some songs from a close cousin, Country. We base our fee on the length of the engagement, number of consecutive hours in performance, travel distance from DFW area to the gig, dress required, and any extra sound reinforcement equipment needed beyond our mics and instruments.
Our instrumentation includes keyboards, guitar, electric and upright bass, trumpet, saxophone, flute, drums, and for C&W numbers, the fiddle. We have played clubs, private parties, festivals, and grand openings, and perform a wide variety of popular covers, most of which are from the 60's through the 90's. We want you to have a good time, and we work hard to insure that result, as it's very gratifying to us to see our audience get into the music. Consequently, we do not consume alcohol, or eat at the gig. We are there to serve you, and we can wait until later to party. We strive to conduct ourselves in a professional manner, and will cooperate with you to the full extent of our abilities, to help you have an event that you're proud to have hosted.
