DESCRIPTION:
Caz & The Commotions are a five piece jump blues band featuring the vocals and dazzling showmanship of Caz Gardiner. We specialize in classic 50s and 60s r'n'b and blues by such greats as Ruth Brown, Sam Cooke, Etta James and LaVern Baker. Our music is danceable and energetic. A bundle of energy, Caz Gardiner commands the audience's attention with her kinetic, whirlwind stage presence. From 1992 to 2003, Gardiner sang in the noted Washington, D.C. ska band, The Checkered Cabs with whom she released the CD, Remember, in 1998. In addition to Caz & The Commotions, she currently performs with the garage soul band The Ambitions. With The Commotions, she is able to indulge her love of blues and classic r'n'b.
