Description

The BrickHouse Show Band is an ultra-high energy 7-member dance band that specializes in providing exceptional, interactive, just plain FUN entertainment for just about any kind of public or private event needing an energetic live band to get people dancing. Although BrickHouse can sometimes be seen at greater Seattle-area casinos and festivals, the band specializes in corporate events, conventions, fundraising galas and high-end wedding receptions. We have a variety of tunes from different eras and genres, and are accustomed to assembling a night's entertainment designed to appeal to a wide range of ages. OR - we can tailor-make a song list that includes just the genres that fit your event's theme or age demographic. In addition, we will prepare those special song requests you want, and we set the scene for you all to have a huge amount of partying fun! Optional piano bar or light jazz guitar can be arranged for dinner or cocktail hour, or we will play your own background CDs or IPOD. Then, as the event progresses and the band takes the stage, BrickHouse's lively beat, together with warm and humorous audience interaction, leads your guests into a joyful party atmosphere.

For corporate and fundraising galas, BrickHouse Show Band features energetic, eye-popping choreography. Moves range from hip-hop during Top-40 songs (designed for BrickHouse by Seattle Seagals choreographer Megan A) to authentic cha-cha and rumba during Latin songs, to single and double Lindy during the swing numbers. We even include an optional bellydancing number by Shakira, where audience members are invited to borrow our coin belts and join in!

For something different, you may request our award-winning, vivacious and hilarious ballroom dance choreographer to come and give your group a 45 minute lesson in anything from swing to salsa. This is a great ice-breaker and sets the mood to dance the night away with newly-learned dance skills (and she's great - they WILL be able to dance when she's done with them!)

Choreography is minimized for wedding receptions, unless requested otherwise.

Costuming ranges from formal tuxes to casino glitz to disco or even pirate costumes, whatever you want to fit your theme. For wedding receptions and corporate events, we usually carry the colors of the event into our costuming (for example, colored satin tux vests), to tie into the overall visual of the ballroom.

We bring a state of the art sound system with enough capacity for most ballrooms, and wireless microphones and in-ear monitors that keep stage noise low. A professional sound engineer is also hired, to ensure a professionally mixed sound and well-controlled sound levels. (We do not attempt to run the sound levels from the stage.) Some dance floor lighting and stage lighting can be arranged, too. Our sound system is made available for your use for announcements, etc. and for background music. BrickHouse's band leader, Lee, is a seasoned corporate and wedding emcee with a warm, humorous style, and can help with your event as much or as little as you wish.

The band consists of highly interactive entertainers with many years of experience performing virtually every style of music, from Sinatra to Stefani and the decades in between. The unique combination of our six dynamic vocalists backed by our powerful rhythm section creates an electric presence that grabs audiences and keeps them groovin' all night long!

As fun and entertaining as the band is, we are equally as professional. Once you hire the BrickHouse Show Band for your event, you will find that you have chosen a team of professional entertainers who are fully committed to making your engagement a complete success. That's one of the many reasons the BrickHouse Show Band has earned such an outstanding reputation for excellence and is Washington's most sought after entertainment group for special events of every kind.

Call or e-mail to ask about all the party extras we provide at no additional fee. You'll be delighted with all you get with the BrickHouse Band!

FEEDBACK

“This was our first event with a live band, and we were nervous about how it would go. Not only was the BrickHouse band a pleasure to work with beforehand, they put on a great show! I’ve never seen so many people stay late to boogie before! Juggling all the details of a large event is tough, but working with the BrickHouse Band before, during and after the event was not. They were a pleasure to deal with and our guests LOVED them! I am now a fan. Not only were they a great band, they really helped us set the tone for the evening and promote our fun theme (Saturday Night Fever). I am certain we raised more money in part due to their assistance. Hire them. Hire them now!” Jennifer L. Freimund, Executive Director Seattle-King County Dental Society and Foundation 11/7/09

“We were thrilled with your performance. The room had so much energy. From all I have been hearing, every one had a wonderful time. People certainly stayed later than they ever have in the past, thanks to the terrific entertainment and dance music that you offered. The mix was great – going from Big Band to Beyonce and all the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s in between kept the dance floor crowd rotating, and everyone had something they liked. Our two major sponsors seem likely to sign up again next year. The evening was a huge success all around. I think we will have raised over $100,000 for Children's Hospital when it is all said and done." - Jennifer Fisher, Entertainment Co-Chair 24th Annual Harvest Ball, Pasco, WA 10/24/09

"Terry [Entco International, agent]: The band was everything I could hope for. They engaged the crowd and they interacted with the two small children, one who was the little girl who had been to Children's Hospital and had two heart surgeries before the age of 2. They had them on stage with tambourines and maracas. Everyone took pictures and stood up to look at them. The dance floor was packed and both young and older people seemed satisfied. The comments I received were all hugely positive (and believe me, if they didn't like the band, they would tell me). They were great and the music was awesome. I danced a lot. I was happy to meet Lee and I do remember him from some shows. He was very professional and after they were through, he came down and talked to people who wanted to meet them. I just want to thank you so much Terry, for everything. Especially for providing us with a memorable band that was many steps above any of the bands they've had for 15 years. I hope to do business with you next year for the Ball. Thank you again and please let Lee and the rest of the band know how wonderful we thought they were and how pleased we were with their performance." - Sheila Salinas, Harvest Ball Benefit Committee 10/24/09

"I have seen more wedding bands than I care to remember during my years booking bands in L.A., but BrickHouse is hands down THE BEST wedding band I've ever seen. Most can do the romantic classics, but few can deliver authentic 40's swing one minute, then hard-hitting 80's rock the next, with a real current-sounding Top-40 pop hit right after that. Those party handouts you brought were a great idea - got people into it that would normally just sit and watch the others having fun, so everyone got involved and stayed. I've never seen a band do that before. You're classic but hip. Amazing." - Sean F., Groomsman, Rainier Club wedding

"You guys were terrific and made our wedding SO fun. We tried to leave, but just HAD to come back in when you started that conga line as we went out the door! Everything was great. Thanks for your energy and for being in constant communication with us through e-mail while we worked overseas. We wish you continued success!" Amanda and Erin English, 9/5/2009

“Your band was perfect - just perfect. You were everything we’d wanted. Your customer service was excellent, incredible! Thank you so much!” - Beau Chambers, groom

"Joe [Professional Entertainment Consultants, agent]: “Just thought I would let you know that Brickhouse hit a homerun at our party! They had everyone dancing, even guys I've known for 20 years and had never seen dance before. Very professional but personable at the same time. I could tell they were having fun seeing us all have fun. I received many, many compliments on them and would definitely recommend them. Thanks for hooking them up for our party!” - Butch Whitehead, Owner, Auburn Nissan

"Ed [Ed Shaw Entertainment, agent]: Our experience with BrickHouse was great. They kept the audience involved and tried to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. One thing in particular that I was very impressed with was upon discovering we forgot our cd for background dinner music, one of the very talented band members played piano and sang during dinner. It made for a relaxing enjoyable dinner. I would recommend the band to anyone. Thanks again for finding them for us!" Angela Williams, McCarthy Finance

"I had the pleasure of experiencing your band’s entertainment at our 2008 National Top Producers’ Convention Saturday night. You guys are just awesome. What performers you are! It was wonderful! I am so delighted that you played for our convention. What an amazing evening! You know one thing our people were really impressed with? Not only did you keep everybody dancing until the end, and not only did you totally personalize the show to our company; but when we ran late with the presentations and dinner you played the whole night without a break. We thought that was really great – we’ve never had a band do that before." Kathryn Stueckle, Director, Western Division, Noevir Cosmetics 8/23/2008

"You guys were phenomenal! Our group was delighted with your show. What a wonderful sound!!!!" - E. A. Brittain, The Boeing Company

"I love the class, dynamic energy and professionalism that your band brings to the stage. Keep it up!" - Bob Jehli,Director of Corporate Training American Airlines

Feedback

  • The BrickHouse Band was amazing. We had heard great things about them but they totally blew us away. They gave us exactly what we had hoped for and then some. Not only did they give us great dance music; but they put on an outstanding show. They even taught us some of their dance moves and pulled us on stage with them. It was more fun than we could have ever imagined. From now on, they're the only band we will hire. Thanks Gigmasters! -- Lawrence W, Everett, WA, 10/25/2008
  • I cannot believe how wonderful the band was. We had the worst weather possible and they took apon themselves to fullfill their commitment to us. They were fabulous and we have had such great feed back from our members that we certainly will get them back to perform for us next time if it works with their schedule. Thanks Brickhouse Virg and Rod Wilson Black Mountain Ranch -- Virginia W, Deming, WA, 9/6/2009
