PERSONAL BIO:
Kaleo is Kama'aina (island born) and raised on Kaua'i, he learned about island history, and the ways and spirit of ALOHA from his "tutu" ("grandmother" in Hawaiian), Kamanao Na'ea who was a guitarist, singer and narrator at the Kodak Hula Show in Waikiki for two decades, she taught Kaleo to play and sing Hawaiian music from the day he was born. Kaleo's great-grandmother's great-grandfather was Kaumuali'i, Kauai's last King and he is a decedent of George Na'ea, father of Hawaii's Queen Emma Na'ea Rooke! Kaleo moved to Santa Barbara in 1987 where he studied with many guitar masters over the next 20 years. Kaleo began performing in 1997, delighting listeners with beautiful island music. Kaleo is also a massage therapist, he came from a long line of Kahuna Priests, learning the ways of huna (ancient Hawaiian wisdom) from his uncle who is a Kahuna on Kauai.
ALBUM REVIEW:
"Kaleo's music reaches into your soul and allows you to experience Hawaiian music through the expertise of his style in traditional, and kiho'alu (slack key) guitar. His unique vocal style is brought to the forefront the difficult style of ha'i (falsetto) singing. The music will surprise and delight you with the different textures, harmony, and depth of character. His traditional Hawaiian songs tell stories of love for the land, the flowers, and the people of the islands. They also speak of ancient Hawaiian legends and generate a positive, magical feeling in one's heart and mind, as they define the spirit of Hawaiian culture and the physical majesty of the islands of Aloha. Kaleo's dream is to foster the resurgence of interest in Hawaiian culture by sharing the love and beauty of the islands through his music."

Kaleo and his wife went above and beyond to help make our event a success! Kaleo has a beautiful voice, is a talented musician, and can sing a long list of traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music. He brought a wonderful tropical and festive feel to our party. Kaleo and his wife are true professionals and a dream to work with -- they were incredibly flexible, good natured, reliable, and offered a helping hand with other tasks when I was pressed for time! I would, without hesitation, reccommend Aloha Entertainment and I hope to be able to have Kaleo play at more parties in the future!
--Desiree L. Pleasanton, CA 5/31/2008
Kaleo and his Hawaiian band were the highlight of our party! Kaleo is an amazingly talented musician & singer and his steel guitar and ukulele player and lovely hula dancers complimented the music beautifully! Kaleo's great energy and warmth put everyone at ease and created the perfect aloha atmosphere. He has a high standard of professionalism, was extremely easy to work with, accommodated all our special requests, and has a top notch setup. The volume was perfect - loud enough to enjoy the music yet allowed everyone to socialize. Our guests keep telling us that the music MADE the party. I highly recommend him! Thank you Kaleo, for an evening to remember!

Kaleo's performance was awesome. Providing background music as our guests arrived, he set the tone for a lovely afternoon. Later, after an introduction, he shared some of his personal favorite Hawaiian songs with us. His voice is rich and warm, his interpretations and guitar skills stunning. His music made our event over-the-top special.
No performer could have been easier to work with. His passion for the music he brings to an event is contagious. We feel extremely fortunate to have been able to engage him to sing for us.
--Nancy O. Santa Barbara, CA 3/30/2008
This band was so talented, we had people stopping by our venue to listen and enjoy the music. We had guests who were actually from Hawaii say they had never heard such beautiful music. The band was even early in their arrival times and played continuously through the event. They worked with me on cues, speeches and the cake arrival times. It was such a pleasure to work with this band and I would highly recommend and use them in the future!
--Jen B. Newport Beach, CA 4/26/2008
It was a very memorable evening thanks to Kaleo!
