Band Bio and Info - 700 South is a well known Atlanta party band, specializing in energized party music both current and classic. The band has been playing popular rock favorites at private and corporate events around the Atlanta area for over five years. The band also frequently plays clubs. This band knows how to keep your party rocking and everybody dancing! They have experience performing several hundred events including weddings, neighborhood parties, holiday parties, bah mitzvahs, etc. The band's lineup still consists of the original 4 members (all experienced professionals who have been playing 15+ years). If you are looking for a band that can play the latest Rock hits, but also play Soul, R&B, Funk, Classic Rock and Oldies then this is the band for you. 700 South is highly adaptable to tailoring a song selection that is appropriate for any crowd. 700 South also includes DJ service with every performance. We can play any type of music that you desire on before the performance and while the band is on breaks. This is extremely popular among our wedding clients who want to completely round out the event with relaxed jazz before the bride and groom enter - and to include other types of music outside of what the band can play such as hip-hop and house favorites and other wedding standards. The band is fronted by the dynamite rock-diva vocalist Lisa Weiland, but both the guitar player and the bass player provide male vocals as well which adds variety and versatility to 700 South's performances. They have played in venues including American Pie, Sharky's Beach Club (Panama City Beach, FL), Houcks, Fado Irish Pub, The Dixie Tavern, Wild Wing Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta's Velvet Underground, North River Tavern, and many others much to numerous to list. They have also appeared live on the Scott Ferrall Radio Show (Real Radio 105.3 FM WMAX). Awards - The band won the 2004 Bogey's Battle of the Bands and was a top five finalist in the Z-93 Classic Rock Star Search Contest. Charitable Events - 700 South has participated in many successful charity endeavors including a successful concert benefit organized by the band along with Bogey's Bar and Grille for the Hurricane Katrina victims which raised $10,000 for the American Red Cross.
