DESCRIPTION:
Why not hire a genuine jazz band featuring active members of the New York music scene instead of the standard "wedding band?" We offer great jazz for your cocktail hour and swinging sets of jazz, blues and even a little New Orleans funk for your reception. Treat your guests and yourselves to entertainment that is unique, memorable and above all fun.The Ted Hefko Band consists of myself on saxophone, vocals, and flute, accompanied by Guitar, Upright Bass, and, when appropriate, Drums and/or Trombone. We perform a wide variety of vocal and intrumental jazz, with an emphasis on New Orleans traditional jazz, swing, and folk music. We also offer classical flute and guitar for ceremonies, as well as ethnic wedding dances such as the Hora, on clarinet. We perform regularly at The Antique Garage, in SoHo (sat and sun afternoons, unless, of course, we're playing at your event), as well as other venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Please let me know if you'd like to come see the band live and we'll find a time that fits your schedule. Simply "google" my name to check out my official website as well others I've linked to it, there's more music and information there.

CLIENT FEEDBACK:
From our initial wedding planning through the event itself, Ted collaborated in a most helpful way. We were particularly impressed by Ted's invovlement in researching and identifying a wonderful selection of classical pieces to play during our ceremony. Later, Ted and his band entertained our guests with a variety of jazz, New Orleans, and dance music that had the everyone bopping right until the end. We were all impressed with Ted's friendly professional manner, stage presence and versatile talent. We felt that music was the most important element of our wedding, and thanks to the Ted Hefko Jazz Band, we had a truly wonderful and memorable event!
