Dennis Moss

Dennis Moss is a jazz guitarist/bandleader serving the Pacific Northwest and beyond. He performs regularly at corporate events, weddings, private parties, lounges, wine bars, restaurants and festivals. He has performed in venues such as McCaw Hall at Seattle Center, Soundbridge Music Discovery Center at Benaroya Hall, The Seattle Aquarium, GAGE Academy of Art, VIRGINIA V Historic Ship and Antioch University. Dennis offers professional solo and ensemble (duo-quartet) performances. He also composes, arranges, teaches guitar privately and presents jazz guitar clinics.

Dennis earned a Bachelor of Music (jazz guitar performance) from Cornish College of the Arts. As a Cornish student, he studied with notable jazz artists such as Chuck Deardorf, Dawn Clement, Julian Priester, Jim Knapp and Jovino Santos Neto. Dennis earned multiple talent-based scholarships and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

There are several unique aspects of Dennis' playing that set him apart. A fingerstylist, Dennis has a gorgeous tone and he plays the seven-string guitar. Dennis has a strong harmonic sense and his voicings are unique among guitarists. His ability to take on multiple roles simultaneously (combining melody, harmony and bass lines) makes him a perfect fit for small ensemble and solo performances. Dennis' playing style is very lyrical and his sound is warm and engaging. His music is great for both background ambiance and situations where the music is the main attraction.
