Description

Julia Simpson is a professional actress and singer who brings class and style to any event. A dynamic and versatile singer, Julia's repertoire includes Jazz, Standards, The Blues and Broadway. She has performed throughout the nation on tour and at Regional, Dinner and Stock Theatres in productions of "Death Of A Salesman", "Ain't Misbehavin'", "Dreamgirls", "For Colored Girls . . .", "One Mo' Time", "Purlie", and "Tintypes". She has appeared in Off-Broadway Theatres and other venues in New York City including Danny's Skylight Room and most recently the Triad. One of her favorite experiences was originating the role of Hennie in the World Premiere of “When The Nightingale Sings” at The Clarence Brown Theatre in Knoxville, TN. Julia earned her BFA degree in Musical Theatre at Syracuse University. She is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild and The American Federation of Radio and Television Artist. Julia performs with solo piano or with her trio. She created Breanetta Productions to inspire, educate and entertain audiences of all ages and walks of life and is also available to perform her one-woman show “Harlem On My Mind.”
