DESCRIPTION:
The Stachel Jazztet is a jazz band created by extradordinaire flutist Karen Stachel and talented multi-instrumentalist, saxophonist Norbert Stachel. The Jazztet plays everything from straight ahead jazz standards to newly written contemporary jazz pieces. This ensemble plays for a wide range of gatherings ranging from weddings to high energy parties. Both Karen and Norbert are highly acclaimed musicians. Karen has released three CDs: In the Name of the Father, And of the Son, and her latest - And the Holy Spirit. Norbert is a very well known musician who has been in groups with such superstars as: Tower of Power, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), Diane Ross, Boz Scaggs, to name a few. Adding vocals to the core Jazztet makes the band become an even more versatile band playing classics from many decades. Karen is a classically trained flutist and also loves to play classical music either solo or with guitar, violin, harp, piano or whatever instrumentation requested. **Press kits (including demo CD) are available upon request.**
