The Kensho Quartet (formerly associated with the Redlands Zanja 8- the #1 Gigmasters Jazz Band in Southern California for the past three years!) is comprised of four of the most accomplished professional musicians in Southern California. The group specializes in Jazz, Standards, Funk, Blues and Rock, and is a hit wherever they've performed! All members of the combo were hand picked by Barry McNaughton (Jazz Studies Director and USC Master Musician). This band represents the best that jazz / blues / rock music has to offer today. All performers are talented, entertaining, personable, and most of all- outstanding musicians! The Kensho Quartet are truly amazing performers, and once they start playing.....they hold the audience in the palm of their hands! (They can also play soft and sweet background jazz, if that's what's requested). • First off I have to say "Grazie Mile", which means Thanks a Million! We could not of asked for a more professional, wonderful and memorable group of musicians. Throughout the event they nailed it, Jazz, Swing, Funk, Soul and the various personal requests we had for them. They coordinated a song that my wife sung to me while they played the music. They let me grab a guitar and serenade back to her and they let guests of mine who were musicians grab a horn and jam with them. Throughout the evening numerous guests approached us and remarked on how great Kensho was. • They were hired for a 50th wedding anniversary and did not dissapoint!!! Their ages did not reflect their experience and they sounded like they have been playing for years.
