DESCRIPTION:
JP performs as a Saxophone solo act, specializing in smooth, relaxing Jazz/pop music for special occasions. Backed up by MIDI instrumentation, he can fill the air with the sound of a small Jazz ensemble or a large orchestra. Your audience will be delighted by his take on familiar love songs, musicals and contemporary favorites. They will also love his renditions of popular Jazz standards.JP uses a state of the art Bose cylindrical sound system that is unlike anything you have ever seen or heard before! The sound gets spread out 180 degrees immersing listeners in to soothing ambient music while only taking up a small space. The sound produced is always clear and crisp, never blaring. Treat your guests to the Bose sound experience! JP, a California native began playing sax in the 6th grade, he excelled in his high school Jazz and marching band. He has been hired to play for crowds as small as 4 to crowds over 800. JP has performed at a number of prestigious hotels/resorts like the St. Regis Resort and the Renaissance hotel in Hollywood. He has also had the honor of being a guest performer at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills. I found JP Marquez on Gigmasters and after reading the great reviews I contacted him. Right from the beginning he was extremely professional and I especially appreciated his promptness in returning phone calls and emails (which if you're an event coordinator means saving time and stress!). The day of the event was a very long day but he had a noteably positive and patient attitude throughout it. Jp was both accomodating and professional from day one! My wedding coordinator was a bit over the top at times yet Jp remained flexible and cordial throughout the entire process. We live in San Diego and Jp drove about 1 1/2 hours to come and perform for us; he was on time and even started playing earlier than previously discussed. I would definitely recommend Jp for any event. The fact that we were able to hire him to play outdoors by the beach was priceless. Jp, thank you again for a great performance. When you become a huge success, I look forward to bragging to my friends about how you played at my wedding!

JP did the most fantastic job with the music for our ceremony. I was very pleased with his performance, professionalism, flexibility and appearance. My guest were equally impressed with him. I also appreciated the fact that JP took it upon himself to search for the music of one of my favorite songs and learned it in a short time just so I can walk down the aisle to it.
