DESCRIPTION:
OUR HOUSE JAZZ QUARTET is live jazz, an American art form. Jazz is a word which evokes any number of meanings to people: the smooth sounds of Paul Desmond, the sugar and spice of Ella Fitzgerald and Louie Armstrong, or the hard bop of Charlie Parker. Included are the salsa rhythms of Tito Puente and the frenetic harmonies of Charles Mingus or Thelonius Monk. Our House Jazz Quartet will tastefully supply the auditory ambience to fulfill your event's needs. It may be time to relax with the wispy ballad 'My One and Only Love', liven up the evening with the Latin feel of 'Blue Bossa', get things swinging with a 'Straight No Chaser', or move your feet with 'Cantalope Island'. Our House Jazz Quartet can adapt to a great variety of situations from background dinner music to biting, energetic party and dance music. Our House Jazz Quartet includes saxophone, guitar, bass, and drums. At your request, we can add or substitute a pianist/vocalist. We work closely with you to make certain you have just the right music and musicians to make your event a huge success! What a great performance Our House Jazz Quartet provided for my birthday party. Friends who attended have asked for information on the band and commented on how much they enjoyed their music. All details for the evening were worked out during 2 weeks I was out of town, and Barbara picked up on what I was looking for from a short list of favorite artists, songs and instruments. The band then pulled together their evenings performance which was perfect. Our House Jazz Quartet are incredibly talented and I hope to hire them again.

We could not have asked for better music! Our House Jazz Quartet provided the perfect backdrop for a fantastic night. They were able to play the ceremony, as well, and adapted BEAUTIFULLY! Throughout the entire wedding process, Our House Jazz continually exceeded our expectations and proved to be a delight to work with. Communication with the band was always prompt and clear. Planning the event was simple, as the band was extremely accomodating to our needs and wishes. At the wedding itself, Our House Jazz arrived on time, looked incredibly professional, and worked with us through all the crazy last minute changes. Finally, the music was simply remarkable. The soft jazz set the mood just perfect, creating the most amazing atmosphere for our amazing night. We received so many complements concerning the music, and would not have changed one thing about the night. Thank you Our House Jazz for helping to make our wedding reception a night we will never forget.

If you want jazz at a wedding, this band is for you. The music was excellent, the band affable and ready at a moment's notice to accomodate the extra, unplanned event in the evening's festivities.
