The group's repertoire consists primarily of choice jazz classics and Motown / R&B favorites. The Matt Young group was amazing! They played a 300+ person gala for us last night and the music was fabulous. They can play everything from cocktail hour jazz to pack the dancefloor funk. We were so impressed not only with their music but their professionalism and overall personalities. They were all so nice, Matt especially went out of his way to make sure everything went well and that we were on schedule etc.
If you want a great band, this is the one! I wish we had another party or gala soon so I could see them again!

The Matt Young Group was phenomenal!! I hired them to play for a customer appreciation event that we have every year for our high priority client's. They played background music for the cocktail and dinner hour and then played dance music for a couple of hours after dinner. We had never tried having dance music at our event, but wanted to give it a try this year. With The Matt Young Group, it was a huge success! They were energetic and fun to watch, and they had the dance floor packed by the end of the night. Everyone had a great time, and I have already booked them for several another events later this year, including my own daughter's wedding!!

They were amazing !!!!! I booked them online from my home in Colorado for a gig in Indiana (my parents' 50th wedding Anniversary)....and it could not have gone any smoother !!!! We had a lot of special circumstances that called for some changes from their "normal" setup and itinerary (ie. speeches, renewal of wedding vows, etc.), but they were cool about it ALL. Everything went off without a hitch....I would HIGHLY recommend them for ANY future affair. Several people asked and I gave out several business cards the day of the party. My mom is still getting calls about them !!! Don't be alarmed by their low fees....THEY ARE AWESOME and worth much more !!!!!!!!!!!

I was so thrilled when I walked into my reception and heard the Matt Young Group playing in the background. We weren't sure whether to hire a band or a DJ for our wedding reception, but we eventually decided on a band, and we're so glad we did! The Matt Young Group was one of the best choices we made. The group was professional and courteous when making arrangements and the contract, and their performance exceeded my expectations! Everyone was very complimentary on the music, and it was no trouble getting people to dance. The group had a very good repertoire and had no problem taking a few requests from me before the day of the wedding.
