Description
Whether creating a relaxed atmosphere in a quiet setting or swinging with a combo in a lively hall, John aims to share the enjoyment of music with others. He plays solo piano at such venues as the Lanam Club Andover, MA, and corporate functions including Gillette Stadium,Foxboro MA. He also plays in a duo accompanying a vocalist or other instrumentalists. And if a band is needed, John works with a small ensemble for weddings, and other functions involving dancing.

- John and I arranged everything by phone. While I was busy with pictures he arrived with his electric piano, set up, began playing and was in full swing when I arrived. His music was great and I never had to do a thing. It was the easiest part of the wedding. Thanks John!

- Finding someone to work with in Boston, we live in Michigan, could have presented a daunting challenge but John was delightful to work with and made long distance arrangements effortless. - I hired John to play at my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party, which was held at their home on 10/28/06. John did a wonderful job keeping people entertained and he was willing to play special requests and engage people in sing-a-longs. John was in communication with me a few times prior to the event, which I appreciated. On the day of the event, John was on time (in spite of the weather!) and friendly with our guests. He looked like he was happy to be there. Many people commented to me on how nice John was and I am very happy we hired him.

- We hired John to play at a 50th anniversary party. We had a list of songs that we knew the couple liked, and he said he could play them and many other similar songs. He arrived a bit early to set up his keyboard (the place we were at did not have a piano) and was playing as guests arrived. We had asked that he play quiet background music. He did just this. After the meal it seemed that the guests were ready for something a bit more, and he slowly included more up-beat lively music. At one point some guests started to hum or sing softly and he passed out lyric books! It was wonderful - one song after another that the "older folks" knew and loved and they could sing along.
Everyone had a grand time. It would not have been the same without John - he made the evening flow and come together. When he evening was over and we were handing him back the lyric books he said the anniversary couple could keep them - they were so tickled; I strongly believe that was their best present of the night!
By the way, the songs he played were perfect - the older folks said they recognized every one of them!
We definitely would hire John again for any sort of occasion and do not hesitate in the least to recommend him.

- John D'Ambrosio is an extremely talented man who was absolutely accommodating to every need at our party. There were people from their teens and into their nineties, and John played a variety of pieces which more than accommodated all our guests. We could not have been more pleased with John.
