Doug Lofstrom and the New Quartet Jazz Band from Villa Park, IL

Doug Lofstrom and the New Quartet is an instrumental ensemble playing a wide variety of music including jazz, classical and world music, including Irish, Celtic, Latin, Tango and Middle-Eastern styles. Basic instrumentation is violin, woodwinds (clarinet, flute, saxophones, etc.), piano, bass and drums. We can add any number of instruments as your budget allows. Though the group is primarily instrumental, we work with several vocalists, each of whom can bring a specific stylistic approach to your event. Typically, we perform as a quartet minimum or a quintet when drums are included, but we can add flute or more strings to make a larger orchestral group. The quintet also has a large repertoire with orchestra suitable for an evening's concert. Members of the group are all highly-trained instrumentalists and much of our repertoire features virtuostic solo turns by all of us. Our repertoire is perfect for a varied musical background for your reception or event, but can be tailored to focus on a specific ceremony or concert situation. Leader and chief composer/arranger Doug Lofstrom can provide an original song or arrangement of a specific piece for your ceremony or event for an additional fee.
