DESCRIPTION:
Professional pianist and keyboard player with many years of playing experience. Classically trained, degree in music education and piano performance from New Jersey City University. Can play all styles of solo piano. Also have a great deal of band experience. I play LIVE piano music (without the use pre-recorded sequencers or devices) as well as ambient background music and my own recorded sequences/full band arrangements (if appropriate for the event). I supply my own top grade equipment that includes 2 Korg SP-300 pianos, M-Audio ProKeys88 Piano/controller, Yamaha Motif ES Rack synth, Fantom XR Rack synth, Korg 05/W Rack synth, Roland U-220 Rack synth, Korg CX3 organ (hammond B3 sound), Korg Triton workstatstion,Novation XIO Synth/controller, M-Audio Pro 88 Controller, Behringer UMX61 controller,Digitech Whammy, Dunlop GCB95 Original Crybaby Wah Pedal, many miscellenous effects, and a PA system capable of handling small to mid sized rooms, lighting, and pro audio sound effects devices. Fluent with reading music and charts. Have also composed a great deal of music and won a number of songwriting contests. Have performed with both local and national acts. Available for fill-in band work in addition to solo piano for all kinds of events (weddings, parties, etc). IMPORTANT NOTE-GIGMASTER's bases it's 'rating' predominantly on how much money a performer has earned through Gigmaster's. I do the majority of my booking outside of Gigmaster's so these events are not counted towards my Gigmaster's rating. Will played during our wedding ceremony, our first dance song and during dinner at our reception. The ceremony was outside and he provided and set up all his equipment and was ready to go on time. We communicated by e-mail and by phone concerning song choices. He contacted me the week of the wedding to touch base and finalize everything. Will played music at our wedding and everything was perfect. He showed up when he was supposed to and he played just like we wanted him to. My only suggestion is the he charge more. When I first saw his rates I figured he must not be any good. In this case you get more than you pay for.

In a word Will Landstrom was great. He is a brilliant pianist and a genuinue pleasure to listen to. He is also a very nice person and a total pro. I could not recommend him high enough. And the kicker is-his fee was considerably lower than some others who had bid who, in my opinion, did not sound as good. I am a serious pianist myself-take my word for it-if you want a REAL musician/pianist hire Will Landstrom-you won't be sorry.

We booked Will as a musical surprise, furnishing live solo piano music for my sister's pre-wedding cocktail party for about 50 people.. Will was terrific from start to finish. He answered all questions and e-mails expeditiously, was warm and friendly to all, played requests, improvised with some professional singers we had as guests, and overall was a welcome addition to our festivities. Will Landstrom could not have been more professional. He showed up early, was ready to play before guests arrived, and his piano playing was absolutely beautiful. He also dressed like a pro. In addition to this his fee was significantly less than other bids I received. What's not to like? I would hire him again in a second!

Will is an amazing musician and extremely professional. Will played throughout the reception of my wedding and was able to learn a long list of songs I needed in just a couple of days along with playing his own music as well. His talent is amazing. My party was a very last minute request for background music for a cocktail-type party. Will and I corresponded through email and he arrived well-prepared and on-time. The guests and I really enjoyed his selections and he was extremely sensitive to volume and style during the event.

Will traveled nearly 2 hours to play during the cocktail hour at our evening wedding. He arrived in advance so that he was perfectly on time (even during inclimate weather). So Will is extremely reliable and communication via email/phone was perfect before the event. Will's plyaing ability is of the highest level and his knowledge of various styles really is a plus. Our wedding was very elegant, and Will really added to the event...we give him the highest praise!!! If you do not select Will over other piansts, you will be missing out on a truly memorable performer.
