DESCRIPTION:
STEVE ROY's jazz combos give you something subtly different. He shapes old favorites with new clarity and musicality, favoring hand percussion over traditional 'drum kit'. Musicians who play with him find his rhythm sounds blend in with their instruments in a warm and companionable way, allowing more room for their own musical expression. His jazz combos include Rafael Vargas on guitar, Shannon Mcconnell on bass, Andy Roos on saxophones. He is also available with pianist Rob Cook.

Steve Roy's music was the perfect addition to our neighborhood BBQ. They arrived on time and, after we erected a canopy over them, played through the rain. All of the band members were polite and friendly.
