DESCRIPTION:
Sonoran Jazz Project is the professional outgrowth of a musical relationship that began when Matt Johnson met Tanya Hedjazi in the music program at Northern Arizona University. Now more than 10 years later, that relationship continues and has produced a lot of great music!Sonoran Jazz Project is based out of the Northeast Phoenix Area and performs worldwide at corporate functions, on cruise ships, and at private parties and weddings. Sonoran Jazz Project is a professional and versatile ensemble well suited for events ranging from casual to upscale. In addition to the requisite jazz standards known by to anyone who has performed or listened to jazz, you'll hear a lot of latin & caribbean influences, blues in our music. Sonoran Jazz Project is scaleable - we can perform as a duo or trio all the way up to a 7 piece ensemble depending on the need of the occasion. Unless other arrangements are made, we perform as a quartet. We are an instrumental jazz ensemble. GETTING MARRIED? You'll be suprised at what we can do for you. Being classical musicians as well, we can provide all the special music for your ceremony, live jazz for your dinner and even pre-recorded music for a portion of the evening if you need it. This consolidation of services, rather than having separate vendors for each, saves you money. Special requests are honored. WANT COOL AMBIENT BACKGROUND JAZZ FOR YOUR CORPORATE EVENT OR PARTY? We're all about that. When you hire us for your event, you are getting the best in customer service. We set up where you need us to, dress how you need us to, start and stop when you need us to, and always maintain an appropriate volume. We want your repeat business and work hard to ensure your satisfaction in all areas. The songs you hear on this webpage are all recorded live at the events at which we perform using a single inexpensive microphone. They are not studio recordings, so what you hear here is candid and is what you can expect us to sound like at your event. Our corporate customers include: Microsoft Corporation, Lehman Brothers, United Healthcare, Diversified Healthcare, Phoenix Memorial Hospital, Wyst Office Products, HNTB Architecture, Google, and many others. CLIENT FEEDBACK:
In meeting with Matt of the Sonoran Jazz Project, we were happy to hire them for our wedding. Matt was absolutely a pleasure to work with, came up to the rehearsal to be sure everything was executed smoothly and their performance the day of was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend the SJP for an event that you are looking for enjoyable music to entertain your guests while they mingle and enjoy themselves.
