DESCRIPTION:
Rankinfyle is one of the most versatile bands around. Genres include;
traditional jazz, smooth jazz, R&B, Pop and Motown. The band leader(Tony Rankin) has performed with many A-team artist that perform with national artist such as George Benson, Destiny's Child, Boz Skaggs, The Staple Singers and more. In addition, Tony Rankin has scored televison commercials for Pizza Hut and other major businesses. He is a vocalist and plays piano/keyboards in the band.
The standard instrumentation for Rankinfyle is piano, bass, drums, sax and guitar. However, we have performed projects from solo to 18 pieces.
Rankinfyle has been performing weddings every other weekend for the last 10 yars straight at Pops for Champagne in Chicago; have performed every single Saturday night at Philanders of Oak Park for the last 9 years and in general, have been performing every single week since 1992. We are the band of choice for weddings and special events delivering fire power performances. Our versatility in music will help you make your event sucessful.
