DESCRIPTION:
MetroTang, led by composer/percussionist Chacho Ramirez, brings a unique angle to jazz. Combining African drumming rhythms with funky bass lines and long flowing melodies, the music has something for everybody. These outstanding musicians have recorded and toured throughout the world. They are:Eldad Zvulun – piano
Gary Damanti – guitar
Phil Palombi – bass
Jorge Jimenez – congas
Chacho Ramirez – drums Using standard jazz forms, some tunes sound more Latin than African, others keep the blues in mind. If you're steeped in jazz, you'll hear new twists to familiar tunes, and if you're not, you'll have a fun time listening to some lively songs. The band is coming up from New York City, but they got there from Israel, Ecuador, New Jersey, Ohio, and the Caribbean. Get ready for a night of great music!

Metrotang were really excellent. The event was an outdoor garden party in New York city for approx 120 people. Metrotang arrived early and set up in a most professional manner. Their manager, Carolyn, was there also to make sure everything went smoothly.
The music was perfect for the setting and they were very friendly and accomodation. Well done. We would definitely recommend them and look forward to having them play for us again.
I apologise for the late feedback but I was traveling but feel they deserve a very high ranking in feedback from us.

These guys are unbelievable. Everyone at the party was talking about how amazing they were! From the actual performance to their personalities to their professionalism. I would definitely hire them again. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great band!
