DESCRIPTION:
Nationally acclaimed, multi-talented Mark Pressey intertwines undeniable stage presence and extraordinary vocal abilities with nearly every genre of music. He is a brilliant songwriter, composer, arranger, lyricist, entertainer and indisputedly one of Denvers most sought-after pianists and vocalists. Mark plays blues, jazz, classical, popular standards, and Broadway showtunes at renowned venues and private parties across the country. Though he was born in Colorado, Mark spent many years in LA, where he was the music director for McClain Stevenson, the esteemed actor on the long running smash hit M*A*S*H. Mark recently played David Welsh's wedding (Welsh is the guitarist for the Grammy-nominated band, The Fray.) He is also the director of music at Cameron Church in Denver, and plays six nights a week at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in downtown Denver. Throughout his illustrious career, Mark has gigged at the prestigious Beverly Wilshire Hotel, the Brown Palace Hotel, Westin Tabor Center, Ivorys Piano Bar, Mels Bar and Grill, Steak au Poivre, the Burnsley Hotel, and Bloom Restaurant. Over the years, Mark has generated numerous local and national accolades. Penny Parker, columnist for the Rocky Mountain News, called Pressey a top ivory tickler, and Zagat Survey, in its United States Top Nightlife guide, hailed Pressey as a crooner who gets patrons humming with show tunes and hits by Elvis, Sinatra, Jimmy Buffet, and others. Colorado AvidGolfer magazine called Mark a pianist/vocalist extraordinaire and Sunset magazine wrote: His voice is stellar, his hands extraordinary, and with a songbook of over 5,000 titles, just try stumping him. In 1994, Mark formed the Mark Pressey Trio, a brilliant jazz act that plays all over Denver. In 2000, the Mark Pressey Trio became MP3 with the release of Mark?s first CD, Ciao Vino. In 2004, Mark released another CD, titled Music at Mels, a selection of 15 tunes dedicated to the regulars at Mels Bar and Grill, where Mark played for five years. In 2006, Mark released "Ain't it Grand," a compilation of some his favorite solo piano tunes. Mark and his band play weddings, private parties, corporate events, and club gigs, while Mark continues to also play solo. Mark has built a sterling reputation in Denver as a premier entertainer, vocalist, and pianist.

I've hired numerous pianists/singers over the years for various parties, and Mark Pressey was by far the best musician I've ever had. He was so professional, played all of our song requests, and was definitely the major highlight of our party. People danced and sang all night because of him. I would recommend Mr. Pressey without question and will certainly hire him again for future parties. On a scale of 1-10, Mr. Pressey was an 11. Such a beautiful voice and an absolutely fabulous pianist!!
