About

The Heart Song Trio is comprised of three of the most respected professional musicians in the Mid-Atlantic area. Led by multi-reed player Al Williams III the trio is composed of flute and sax with guitar and acoustic bass. Al has produced three award winning CD's and has performed in the US, Europe, Africa and Asia. With decades of world class experience the trio covers a huge range of popular and jazz repertoire. With the addition of drums, keyboard or a vocalist the group can become the quintessential contemporary entertainment and dance band.

"I am one picky individual and Al and his trio came through with no issues. They agreed to meet early with my niece before the wedding for practice with no questions asked. I put my trust in Al and let him choose the music without any input from us. He chose great music and they performed flawlessly (a little off time with the happy birthday music). Al, is a talented professional who has played with some of the best. I would hire him and his trio again without a second doubt. Thanks Al!"

"Heart Songs Trio did an absolutely fantastic job! Your version of "I am ready for love" by India.Arie was right on point. That along with the entire ceremony music was great. Although my now husband and I didn't get a chance to enjoy the cocktail hour music, we heard from many of our guests that it was fantastic. One actually told me that you played John Coltrane's "Naima" which was a nice touch. So, thank you again."

"Al was one of the most professional musicians I have ever worked with! His music was perfect that evening (we hired his trio). He arrived early - was flexible with the location of his setup - and he was willing to move to another location within the facility to play during the dessert reception. His calm demeanor and soothing music was just what we needed for this high end cocktail reception. We received alot of compliments. Do not hesitate to hire this first class musician!"

They showed up early to the venue, worked easily with our AV crew to find a quick solution to set up their sound equipment, and were extremely accommodating with our last minute logistic changes. The music was exactly what we were looking for, and our entire staff thoroughly enjoyed the performance. I will definitely be keeping Heart Song in mind for future events!"
